Search for the Sensations of the Year
The Grand Jury of Conspicuous Sensuality is beginning their worldwide search for nominees for the 2010 Erotic Awards. This prestigious awards ceremony has been awarding erotic dancers, film makers, sex workers, campaigners, fashion designers, website creators, academics, writers, politicians and beyond for 15 years.
We’re looking to award the established, up and coming and the struggling. Many artists and actors do erotic work on the side, and this year we are asking that prestigious artists create something sexy especially for us, for charity, whether it is a striptease, a painting or a poem. This will bring a new dimension to our collection of the very best erotic work of our time.
The Erotic Awards is a celebration of sex, with an uncensored cabaret night called SHOWCASE in February 2010, an exhibition of the work in spring, and finals canned at the Night of the Senses next May. These events take place in London.
Otherwise known as the Glastonbury of Sex, The Night of the Senses (www.nightofthesenses.com) provides a glimpse of what a sexually free society can be like, including everyone who likes that kind of thing: the beautiful, the young and not so young, the disabled, shy and extrovert. It is a highly decadent, hedonistic yearly charity Ball that has played host to everyone from Boy George and jazz singer Léonie, to Barry Humphries.
Among those to walk away with a converted Golden Flying Cock are film director Derek Jarman, American sex pioneer Annie Sprinkle, the Australian website abbywinters.com, and human rights activist Peter Tatchell.
Promoting sexual expression through art and performance, the Awards also raises funds for the Outsiders Trust (www.outsiders.org.uk) that supports disabled people to find partners.
So have you created, seen, read or clicked on something remarkable or do you think you’ve got it takes to wow, educate or titillate the judges? If so email an outline of the with contact details to mail@erotic-awards.co.uk by November 31 2009.

The judges decision is final. Judges look for quality, sexy innovations and favour nominees who are gracious and cooperative.
